I think it was a real mistake making Hamlett the new head coach when there are more quality coaches out there. You don't make a person head coach just because he's paid his dues. There's a reason why Hamlett was an assistant coach for 10 years. It's because he's not good enough to be a head coach. If he has all this experience, then why wasn't he offerred the position from another MLS team? They should have forked up a little more money to get John Spencer from Houston or Paul Mariner from New England(2 former quality players from the UK and assistant coaches for the 2 best teams in MLS). Hamlett is going to bring the Fire back done to the same level they had with Coach Sarachan because he won't be as intense like Coach Osorio, who was 1 game away from bringing the Fire back to MLS Cup after saving the team from a disastrous season under Coach Sarachan and Interm Coach Hamlett. |
